Some weight was never meant to be carried alone.

The first breath of Taiwan red cypress feels like being caught, steadily, by something solid.

The top note is mountain air just after rain, the heart is the warm, dense scent of an old wooden house, and the base settles low, carrying the weight of resin — the kind of scent that makes you want to lean, want to let your shoulders down.

Taiwan red cypress is native only to this island, growing in misted mountain forests, some trees standing for over two thousand years. Two thousand years, and it simply stays standing — meeting the wind, meeting the rain, saying nothing, but never leaving.

It has stood that long not by holding on alone, but because its roots go deep, and because it depends on the whole forest around it.

When you are tired, it is alright to lean on something. That is not weakness. It is what lets you walk further.

Grounded in the present, spoken through scent.
